Illinois Quilters Inc. was founded as a guild in 1980 to promote fellowship among those interested in quilts and quiltmaking. The mission is to promote an awareness of quilting, to preserve our quilting heritage, and to encourage an appreciation of fine design and workmanship. IQI produces an annual exhibit of quilts and needlework (The Fine Art of Fiber) in November at the Chicago Botanic Gardens, Glencoe, IL. |
